What you will find inside the BWNYR

At our main public events, we network for the first half hour, sometimes there is a guest speaker, then we break out into an interactive activity to mix the ladies into groups and discuss topic. This is an opportunity to mentor or be mentored.

At the Members-Only Events we network at the beginning, get to know others in the core group, then we have the opportunity to stand and do our informercials in front of all other Members, with more networking time at the end, no Guest Speaker.

Come out and let others know what you do so that they will become word-of-mouth referrals for you! We do not have Vendor opportunity at any of our events.

We have held many Awards Gala where we present Members with awards for the great work they are doing. The funds are put towards scholarships to help young women enroll in a Business degree. We invite all MP/MPP officials in York Region to our Awards Gala and invite female Mayor’s Councillors, Economic Development to attend our meetings free of charge where we can learn how they can help women in business.

For many years, The Business Women’s Network of York Region has proudly supported women in our community through annual bursaries. These awards recognize determination, leadership, and a commitment to growth, helping recipients pursue their educational and professional goals with greater confidence.
